I’m the weird kind. Because, unlike most people, I like starting something new in December. This is a month where we reflect on the good and bad, clear up things & prepare for new beginnings come January. For me, December is also the month of welcoming new things. Because, why not? & why wait?
Told ya, I’m a weirdo.
This Beautiful Iyagi blog is a new beginning for me. This is my new blogging home. I’m an oldie at blogging, actually. I’ve been blogging for over 2 decades. I started my blogging journey by dipping my toes in GoeCities (what memory!). It didn’t last long, though. Maybe just a few months. I can’t remember much. I don’t even remember my blog name & address. I wish there were a way to find our GeoCities blog again (Guess what? I found a few sites that archived the Geocities blogs. Problem is I can’t remember which city I was in). Then, I blogged on Blogger’s Blogspot for nearly a year.
By then, I was itching, itching to get more out of blogging. I bought a domain & web hosting, & have never looked back. That was nearly 20 years ago. A year ago, I paused blogging. I had to disassociate myself from it. I don’t mean blogging, but the blogs’ existence. I shut down everything.
A year later, here I am. Ready to begin anew again. I 💞 love writing very much. That’s why I was able to do this for 20+ years.
Without further ado, welcome to my humble & minimalist blog, Beautiful Iyagi. It means beautiful story. Iyagi means story in Korean language. I have a love relationship with Korean dramas, hence I thought it would be nice to incorporate a Korean word into my blog name. I don’t plan to write only beautiful stories, I am human after all. It may includes some grumbling here & there. Hehe
As this is a new blog, with only 1 post as of writing, it will need some tweaking here & there. While you’re here, why don’t you add my blog to a feed reader (I’m using Feedly myself) or follow my social media for blog updates & random talks: Twitter, Instagram – coming soon
